Contrary to all the rumors and other sites' misleading claims that the Pokemon GO will be released a few days from now or anytime this week and to prevent any further misinformation to the public, Niantic, the developers of the game, has released their official statement regarding this matter.
The official statement came from Niantic's PR agency Forty Seven (47) Communications and told IGN SEA that there are no announced planned game release yet outside of the countries with the official game releases. Below is the quoted statement from their message:
Everyone in the SEA region (yes, including Philippines) will be greatly disappointed with the announcement from Pokemon GO's developer, but right now it is best to wait for the official game release for a stable and smooth gaming experience rather than rushing the devs to release the game. We're pretty sure that Niantic just wanted to polish the game further and they may still be testing / experimenting the game with the selected countries.
