Alcatel seems to be planning to launch a new Flash smartphone very soon. Remember the Flash 2 that made a noise online last time? Well, the Flash 2 turn out to be so good with its specs and price offering that made it well accepted in the Philippine market. And in this next release, it's really very exciting to see what will they offer soon.
As per sources and some info leaks, the next Flash will be a bit bigger than its predecessor (Flash 2), it has a button in the bottom center of the screen (which is a bit similar to Sammy's button design) and the screen seems to be covered in full glass (we hope it'll be a full Gorilla Glass). The power button and the volume rockers are located in the right side of the phone. The smartphone also have a metallic finish or a metallic look on the side which makes it feels to be premium to look at. Flash’s new smartphone will also to be powered with an octa-core Helio P10, which is a high-end brand of MediaTek that supports switching between applications seamlessly without any lags.
Other info about the Helio P10 processor is that as per Mediatek's website, it is the world’s first product to use TSMC’s 28nm HPC+ process which allows for reduced processor power consumption, saving up to 30% more powercompared to existing smartphone SoCs manufactured using the 28 HPC process - so yey for the battery saving capability. Most likely, the upcoming Flash will support 4G LTE as the Helio P10 has a 4G WorldMode modem with LTE Cat-6, supporting 2x20 carrier aggregation with 300/50Mbps data speeds. The Helio P10's speed, bits & cores are: 2 GHz, True Octa-core 64-bit Cortex-A53 CPU. The GPU or graphics will most likely have a Powerful dual-core 64-bit Mali-T860 graphics core clocked at 700MHz. Also let's hope the new Flash will have a better camera like the one listed in the spec of the chip, that it can support up to 21 Megapixel @24fps / 16MP@30fps w/ ZSD Dual ISP w/improved 3A / denoise / demosaic / sharpness camera. Also, other information suggests that they are cooperating with Texas Instrument, a renown global semiconductor design & manufacturing company, that would make the Flash’s new smartphone to have a three (3) times faster charging than normal 5V 1Ahm charging solution. I wonder what will be the pricing for this? Let's hope that this upcoming Flash will be affordable too like its predecessor.
