Recently, I visited head-fi.org of the most trusted community of headphone enthusiast and audiophiles in the world. Then I saw a new earbuds that's been shaking the entire forum, there's an otherworldly earbuds that's roaming around by the name of Ve Zen.
VE Zen |
The Ve Zen is a one of a kind earbuds with impressive looking build quality that's rated at 320 Ohms! It's the highest impedance I've seen from an earbud that's way way way higher even with most common headphones in the world. Only few big cans can actually match this in terms of power requirement.
There's a catch, if you can drive them properly!
Big power, big responsibility. Not everybody can drive (play) this properly. Your iPhone won't do it and even most of the HiFi Android possibly can't. There's a need to use an external amp and that amp should be really powerful. That's where the additional investment in listening to this beast will come.
Ve Zen Specs
- Transducer: Open Dynmanic
- Sensitivity: -/-
- Frequency Response: 20Hz~20kHz
- Impedance: 320 Ohms
- Cable Length: 1.2 m
- MSRP: USD 112
What's even more amazing is the pricing, I thought first that with that power and sound quality based on the impressions and reviews of most individuals in the audiophile scene that it will cost an arm and a leg. Fortunately, I'm wrong and it's priced at just USD 112 (Around PHP 5,000) and I guess that Budget-Fi might sell them here in the Philippines based on what they posted recently. I believe that this has the potential to be one of the best in the world with proper pairing, tuning and amplification.
I'm looking forward to hear this one soon!
