Lenovo K3 Note is one of those supposedly "China Only" device that finally arrived here in the Philippines. It's a powerful handset that priced very low for what it's offering like what the Alcatel Flash Plus, Meizu M1 Note and etc. Last time, we visited Novo 7 Tech office in Manila and were able to get hold of this unit for an hour to give you our quick review.
Meet the goodness of Lenovo K3 Note! |
Unboxing / Accessories
K3 Note packaging |
The packaging reminds me of the Xiaomi boxes. It's brown colored and has that "eco friendly" feel on it. When it comes to the accessories, you get the micro USB cables, 2 A quick charging wall USB wall adapter and some paper documentations. What's missing in the package for me is the inclusion of even just a usable IEM or earbuds with mic.
The 2A wall USB wall adapter and micro USB cable |
Build / Design
The yellow colored back cover, mic and speakers on the upper right side |
The micro USB port and 3.5 mm jack visible on top |
The buttons at the side, this phone is also thin looking! |
The vibrant "Music Lemon" look is very present with the Lenovo K3 Note! I loved the polycarbonate yellow back cover and the materials used is worthy for a midrange device. The construction of this phone feels solid, doesn't look cheap and has that vibrant young looking appeal. It also feels nice to hold and has that bezels that's thinner than the ZenFone 2.
Display / Audio
The display of this handset also looks quite good and appears to be better than the Lenovo A7000. The colors doesn't look washed out and delivers the right amount of brightness pleasing enough to my eyes. It looked great when we tried to watch movies too! When compared to the Alcatel Flash Plus I currently have, the display of this is on a step higher.
English, I choose you! |
We also tried to play some music and video here and it was a pleasing experience. The display looks good, its Audio-wise, its a lot better than the "Dolby Atmos" powered Lenovo A7000 as it has better resolution, clearer mids and better overall details. The musicality is also amazing here even with the speakers as it has that very good quality.
The Camera
The easy to use camera interface! |
The selfie camera that can detect your happiness index and age (Hey I'm just 25 and haggard here!) |
Tip: If you wear glasses you'll look older :)
Camera Samples

Another shameless selfie from a very good selfie cam! |
The shots responds well with photo editing! :) |
Performance
The UI looks very good! |
This is by far the most pleasing UI I've seen from a Lenovo device. It appears to be a heavily modded Vibe UI that looks a lot better! The app drawer is gone, the design looks more minimalistic and great looking and the quick launch setting has full of useful functions. It also has less bloatwares compared to a regular Lenovo Vibe UI which I actually like so much!
The Antutu score! |
The benchmarks was interrupted a number of times and only managed to score 36k. I'm speculating a higher result if the benchmark was properly working. Anyway, any score above 30K is still a solid which was validated the buttery smooth performance of the K3 Note in even with the short time we had with it. This can pretty run almost any heavy games available on Android right now with that RAM and GPU too.
Great results! This will be great in gaming too! |

As of the moment...
If you loved the Lenovo A7000, you surely like this one better! This is a great everyday midrange phone that has powerful specs and very nice user interface. The camera is also decently good / improved and the audio quality is one of the cleanest I've heard from a Lenovo device and the price is amazingly low for what it's offering.
