Targus sent us a unit for review so without further delay let's see if their successful with it.
Unboxing and Accessories

Inside the box |
It comes in a standard powerbank package, you get a microUSB cable for charging purposes, the unit itself and some papers. Personally, I would have liked it better if they included cables here for iDevices as this powerbanks is advertised to work with an iPad. Then as usual, I always wish that manufacturers includes a wall charger adapter for charging the powerbank.

This powerbank is one of the most solidly constructed powerbanks out there. It's made out of really good plastic that feels durable. I also liked its form factor as a compact device. Aside from that it is also not heavy compared to other powerbanks with metal body. Targus clearly did a good job with its aesthetics.

It was able to light up the dead batt ASUS T100! |
Rated at 8,400 mAh, this powerbank delivered from what I expected. I was able to charge my 2800 mAh phone for almost 3 times quickly due to that 2.1 A max output on both ports. This device has 2 ports, the first port is for "Universal" devices and the other port is for "iDevices". At first I was following those labels, but when I needed to charge 2 devices at the same time (1 Android and 1 Laptop Convertible), I discovered that the "iDevice" port works even for other devices.

The torch! |
However I have one gripe with its performance, the power input of this powerbank is just at 1 A. In that case, I cannot charge it with my 2.1 A USB wall adapter as I don't like to risk damaging this device. Targus did not also disclose the type of battery they used here. I suspect that it's the regular Lithium Ion based on the form factor of the powerbank.
It also has a torch feature whenever you need light in the dark wherein you just need to double press the power button to activate it.

Verdict
It's a good solid looking powerbank from Targus, it performed great, it saved me for a number of times already and it was strong enough to power the convertible I'm using. However while this good product, it's priced high when you compare it in the market which can give this powerbank a hard time competing to the likes of Yoobao, ZenPower and Mi Powerbanks. I wish that Targus will do something with this.
