Google just launched the first wave of the 2nd generation of Android One device in Turkey called the General Mobile 4G. The General Mobile 4G is a better spec'ed Android One smartphone that has 2 GB of RAM and LTE connectivity at a heftier price tag of USD 260 or roughly around 11.6K pesos.

Aside from that, it sports a 5 inch HD IPS display with Gorilla Glass 4 protection, a 64 bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 quad core CPU, Adreno 306 GPU, 16 GB of internal storage, 13 MP rear camera w/ flash, 5 MP front camera and Android 5.1.1 Lollipop that's going to be updated every time Google release an Android update.
While those specifications is clearly an improvement over the Android One devices that was released in the Philippines, India and other Asian countries. I was a bit disappointed with it's pricing. For me, it defeats the fact that Android One devices should be affordable. Of course there are other factors like the quality of living in Turkey is better than other countries, but I would have liked this one better if they priced it at around 7-8K in Philippine Peso.
Hopefully, once the 2nd Gen of Android One devices hits the tropical islands of the Philippines the price won't hike like that.
