The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge is one of the hottest and most anticipated phones right now. Earlier, I first saw it in person on display at the Gateway Mall in Cubao Quezon City. I was quite fortunate to spend a little over 15 mins with it to share with you what I think about this amazing device.

Display
Best in class display! |
When it comes to the display part, the curved super AMOLED used by Samsung is no gimmick. It is one of the best displays I've seen and could be the one to beat as of this writing. It looks very sharp, detailed and doesn't hurt my eyes. The viewing angles is extremely good too, I guess that the curved display did the trick.
UI / Performance
When it comes to the UI, Samsung clearly improved on this one. Personally, I don't like the TouchWiz UI until I saw this. It improved by a mile, there are now less bloatwares, the navigation is easier and it feels buttery smooth to use. This phone is also extremely powerful and can handle any known task in the Android world. It was able to score almost 70K which is the highest I've seen at Antutu benchmark so far. In that case the Galaxy S6 Edge might be the most powerful smartphone in the world right now.

Camera
Me trying the camera (with the special appearance of MyPhone Rio 2!) |
Even if I just had a very quick moment with the camera of the S6 Edge and I wasn't able to explore its other features. I was able to take two sample photos from it and I can guarantee you that it performed on a flagship level. The rear camera was very sharp, detailed and looks very natural. It makes me wonder how much more this can do as it has tons of potential. The front camera is a decent selfie shooter, even if it looks a little bit filtered as it can make anyone look good on photos. Overall, I loved what I saw with the camera of the Galaxy S6 Edge.

As of the moment...
While the pricing of this phone is a quite high, I believe that Samsung deserves it because this is the phone to beat right now! It has that great looking style, top notch build, awesome camera and ergonomics that could satisfy even the pickiest users in the world. I also loved the way they improved theTouchWiz UI to make this phone faster, easier to use and more appealing. Admittedly, I'm not a fan of Samsung since 2013 until I saw this phone. Great job Samsung, great job!
