While the new Skype Qik is a great short video group sharing app, why Smart is not offering it for free with Windows users? Yes, they advertised to download it on Windows Store together with the IOS and Android marketplaces, but at the tail end of the commercial the free for 3 months usage only applies to IOS and Android.
Not free for Windows? Why? |
The irony there is Qik is a service of Skype, then Microsoft owns Skype who created Windows Phone OS. Then why Qik for Windows phone doesn't have that free for 3 months usage? Smart Communications may have reasons, probably because the market share of Windows phone users in the Philippines is quite low which is quite disappointing as they should have included everybody.

I'm still hoping that Smart will do something to make this available for Windows phone users too.
