According to IDC Cherry Mobile was the top mobile company in the country today. Great specs, every month release, blog promotions and very low price! That's the winning formula made by Cherry Mobile to beat Samsung and other international brands for the top spot last year. Aside from Cherry Mobile, we also have two other local brands in the top 5. Namely, the every solid group of MyPhone and the much improved Torque Mobile.

That is actually a great accomplishment by our local brands which means people are now trusting Philippine based mobile companies. That could help a lot in our economy as the taxes are being paid here and those companies get to hire more locals to give more jobs.

IDC also stated that the smartphone industry growth in the Philippines has grown tremendously. The share of smartphone users in the country increased from 24% in 2013 to 47% in 2014 with a total of 26.8 million mobile phones shipped in the Philippines.
Aside from the top 3 local brands we should also watch out for the new players like SKK and Starmobile as they're really making a lot of good products lately. Then in the international scene LG, Xiaomi, Huawei, ASUS and Meizu is also doing really good too. So my question it, can Cherry Mobile hold on to its number 1 spot this 2015 or somebody will beat them?
