The audiophile community is clearly a very different target market as most people there are willing to spend so much to get the best possible sound. That's the market for this new Sony SR-64HXA microSD card for USD 155.

It is said that the new type of class 10 microSD card developed by Sony shows internal measurements that their microSD card sounds better than the rest of the competition. It is said to be quieter and can produce a more balance sound signature and could be paired best with Sony Walkman ZX2!
However, there's a lot of people who don't believe it as of the moment and is dubbing the product a bit too overpriced for something with the golden label of "for Premium Sound". Even a Sony spokeperson cited by the Wall Street Journal said that “We aren’t that sure about the product’s potential demand, but we thought some among people who are committed to great sound quality would want it”.
In the end, I'm giving this product of Sony a benefit of the doubt, as they're know to create good products and not to mislead the public. I'm optimistic that this microSD card will give anyone's DAP a slightly better audio output.
