Microsoft might launch a new and affordable smartphone soon called the Lumia 640. The device number RM-1109 was recently approved at Anatel Brazil which is their National Telecommunications agency. The Lumia 640 is said to sport a 2,500 mAh battery capacity, HSPA+, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, dual SIM feature and will run on either Windows 8.1 or Windows 10.
The old Lumia 630 |
As the name suggest, Lumia 640 could be the upgrade of the Nokia 630. Then as far as the naming convention of Microsoft nowadays, something like the Lumia 645 (LTE) might also exist. What we don't know right now is the other specs of the device such as RAM, display size, processor and camera capabilities.
What we know right now is we're quite excited on this development as Windows 10 devices is definitely promising and something both IOS and Android people should keep an eye on. Hopefully, we'll see this at the MWC next month.
