Last Friday, the Geeky Pinas team was privileged to be invited to the JBL Sound Gallery to experience and play around with the latest and up and coming audio goodness from JBL, Harman Kardon and JBL. What caught so much of my attention (everything they presented caught my attention though) is the JBL Dolby Atmos Technology.

The Dolby Atmos is a type of sound technology that's been applied to some of the theaters in the country like Promenade cinema in Greenhills San Juan., Bonifacio High Street and Century mall. It's actually the best setup I've heard when it comes to cinema experience. The sound it produces has life like 3D imaging, wherein the sound can come from all directions (top, bottom, left and right including blind spots).
The setup used in the demo is 5.1.2

2 surround/rear speakers
1 subwoofer
2 additional speakers that project sound height
