During the first half of this year, Xiaomi introduced the international variant of the Hongmi smartphone, the Redmi 1s. Now, it appears that Xiaomi is planning to release a successor to the handset soon.
This unannounced Xiaomi handset was recently approved by China's Telecommunication Equipment Certification Center. If you will look at the revealed images, you will notice that it has a resemblance to the hot selling Redmi 1s except for the redesigned capacitive keys and the positioning of the LED flash and the speaker grill.
The handset sports a 4.7-inch display with 720 x 1280 pixels and is powered by 1.2 GHz quad-core processor (model still not confirmed). It also features 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB of expandable internal memory, LTE connectivity, 8MP rear camera, 2 MP front camera, and Android 4.4.4 KitKat operating system. The Xiaomi handset measures 134 x 67.21 x 9.2mm and weight 132 grams.
It is also reported to be available in different color versions: black, white, orange, red, yellow, green, purple and blue.
