In celebration of 20th anniversary of the original PlayStation (PS) on December 3rd, Sony Entertainment Inc. (SCEI) announced the special edition PS4 called, "PlayStation®4(PS4™) 20th Anniversary Edition". The said special edition has only limited 12,300 stocks available worldwide. The number marks the launch date of the original PS.

The "PlayStation®4(PS4™) 20th Anniversary Edition" will cost SGD689 in Singapore, IDR7,399,000 in Indonesia, RM1,779 in Malaysia, PHP26,999 in The Philippines, and THB20,990 in Thailand. It comes with accessories in “Original Gray” color, all packaged in a special commemorative box.

Meanwhile, Sony Computer Entertainment Hong Kong Ltd. (SCEH) Singapore Branch announced today that there will be an online contest for customers in Souteast Asia who are intersted to win a purchase pass to buy the PlayStation®4 20th Anniversary Edition. The contest will be from December 4 to December 21, 2014.
To register and participate in the contest, customers may log in to the “PlayStation®4 20th Anniversary Website”.
Participants must use their own creativity to express why they should be given the purchase pass. Customers can either post a photo or video on Instagram with a specific hashtag. The theme can be:
- Your special PlayStation collection
- Your best moment with PlayStation
- PlayStation related cosplay
- Anything you can think of!
The winners will be determined by the following:
- 50% - number of likes on Instagram
- 50% - Judges will select a winner according to creative and styling factors.
Participants will also get a chance to win aPlayStation®Plus 3-Year Membership and PlayStation® 20th Anniversary Limited Premiums in addition to the purchase pass.
