Today, Lenovo Philippines officially launches the world's first layered smartphone, the Lenovo Vibe X2, in the Philippines. The event was held at 12 Monkeys Bar, Century City mall, Makati, Philippines.

The handset is highlighted by the latest MediaTek MT6595m true octa-core chip at 2.0 GHz, 4G LTE and Android 4.4.4 KitKat. It also features 5-inch IPS LCS capacitive touchscreen @ 441 ppi, 2 GB of RAM, 32 GB of internal memory, 13 MP rear camera with autofocus and LED flash, 5 MP wide-angle front camera with auto-shutter that's activated by a blink of an eye or smile, and 2300 mAh battery capacity.
