In a span of 4 years, Xiaomi just did that! According to a report firm in Korea (IHS iSuppli), Xiaomi already eclipse all of the Chinese smartphone manufacturers in the world. They just emerged as the 3rd largest smartphone manufacturer in the world!

Xiaomi sold 19 million smartphones this 3rd quarter of the year!
With that Xiaomi just surpassed Huawei who is ranked 3rd last year. Lenovo and LG is also rapidly gaining momentum and is fighting really hard for the number 3 spot. Xiaomi sold 5.7 million in 2012, 18.7 million last year and now a huge 19 million in just the 3rd quarter of 2014!
Of course China is their main market, but Xiaomi is slowly capturing the hearts of the world in the all regions like India, Philippines, Malaysia and others.
If the sold out in seconds trend continues, let's all expect that Xiaomi will be on top of the world pretty soon. (That's my bold prediction) Samsung and Apple should better watch out and make cheaper flagships now. Again the meteoric rise of Xiaomi will only lead to a better competition that means cheaper prices and better products. Let's all watch out too for the likes of Meizu and OnePlus who's making a lot of noise and great sales this 2014.
