The next version of the Gmail App for Android, the Gmail 5.0, will support Outlook and Yahoo accounts! Users would be able to sign in and sync not only their Gmail accounts but also their email accounts from other providers. This was according to a leaked video of Gmail 5.0 for Android spotted by Android Police.
The current Gmail app can only sync with Gmail accounts, so users tend to use either 3rd party mail apps to accommodate all their accounts (regardless of the provider), or install two mailer apps (Gmail and 3rd party app), to keep the Gmail authentic experience for their Gmail accounts.
This 35-second video gives us a quick tour of the next update of Google's mobile app. It also shows that Gmail 5.0 features a redesigned user interface providing users a fresh new look to the features they love.
