Another delicious dessert treat from Google's Android 5.0 Lollipop! |
Just today Google announced the
newest version of Android, which was previously named as Android L, it is now
called Android Lollipop! (My guess is correct :D) See my article about the
clues why the next version of Android would be Lollipop. Aside from it Google
just announced that there would be two Nexus devices (Nexus 9 & Nexus 6) to ship in the next month.
It will run Android Lollipop out of the box, thus one of the first version of smartphones to
taste Lollipop. Isn't that great?
See Google Senior Vice President Sundar Pichai's tweet about the official announcement of the new Android OS:

During the last Google I/O
Developer Conference that took place earlier this year, they detailed a new
design principle to their OS which is called the "material design".
The contents in the OS responds well with touch, voice, more intuitive and
transitions more tasks fluidly.
You can directly respond to your lock screen! Cool huh? |
As per Google, the Android 5.0
Lollipop will ship "with over 500 APIs from developers" and
"made for a world where moving throughout the day means interacting with a
bunch of different screens." Also new features included is that lollipop
gives users newer levels of control, a fresh look to the notification settings,
"battery saving feature", multiple user accounts and a
"guest" user mode!
