According sources, there's a report in China last weekend that revealed the specs for a high-end Redmi phone that is set to compete with Meizu MX4! The phone is said to be powered by an octa-core processor from MediaTek and 3GB of RAM.

That processor MT6595 from MediaTek is not a true octa-core, instead it relies with 2 other quad-cores. The 2.2 GHz Cortex A-17 quad-core processor and a 1.7 GHz Cortex A7 quad core processor. That technology from MediaTek managed to score over 47K via Antutu!

If all of those specs are correct this seems to be your ultra affordable monster phone in the very near future. The alleged next generation of Xiaomi's Note is said to be priced at US $165 for 16GB, $215 for 32GB, $245 for 64GB. However, the price of the the 128 GB model is still unknown. This could be the budget phablet that can compete with the likes of Galaxy Note 4 via specs alone.
Let the hype and waiting game begins! This is a very exciting one. :)
