Starmobile announced on their Facebook page that they are re-introducing Play. Still priced at Php 2,999, the new Play has upgraded its OS to Android KitKat 4.4. Aside from the OS upgrade, it seems that everything looks the same.
The Starmobile Play packs a 4-inch display, dual core processor, 512MB RAM, 4GB internal memory expandable up to 32GB, 5MP rear camera, VGA front camera and 2000 mAh battery capacity. It also features a Yamaha Super Loud Speaker.
Starmobile also announced that an OTA update will be available for older Play devices. If you're planning to update your Play, make sure that you have a stable internet connection. The OTA update file size is 542 MB.
