At 3,999 Pesos, the crown for the budget smartphone keeps on getting tighter and tighter. Huawei will be coming up with the budget version of Honor which is set to compete with the current king of phones under PHP 5,000 Cherry Mobile Flare 3!
Specs Comparison with Cherry Mobile Flare 3
As you can see the specs were pretty much similar except Huawei Honor 3C Play edges out Flare 3 via better screen resolution, larger internal memory space, bigger battery and higher version of Bluetooth. On the other side, Flare 3 wins via OS (Kitkat vs Jelly bean), front camera and a slightly cheaper price. Overall, Honor 3C Play seems to be a better buy due to its larger internal storage and better screen.
As a regular consumer, I love the way the smartphone competition is getting tighter and tigher. International Brands like, Xiaomi, Asus, Huawei, THL and others are now competing toe to toe with the usual more affordable local brands led by MyPhone, Cherry Mobile, and others. In the end, the future seems to be really bright for the industry and it makes the consumers have more choices. This time, almost every choice is really good. :)
