During our meeting with Ekotek recently, we have had a chance to get a hold and do a quick review of the company's black version of the budget tablet offering named Ekotab 7. The tablet is a sleek looking device that packs relatively good functionality and performance at this price point.

Ekotab's accessories include the unit itself, usb charger, the power charger, user manual and warranty. Ekotab's accessories is not that packed compared to Ekophone 4.20 and 5.10 which includes screen protectors and cases. Though it is still forgivable due to the low price point of this tablet.
Build Quality and Design

The unit's build quality is decent have a nice feel on it, though everything is made of plastic its a solid type of plastic. That gave me the confidence that this will survive daily abuse with proper care and handling. Users can just buy cases and screen protector to further protect the product. The tablet is also very light weight at 280 grams only which makes the unit have a nice feel when you hold it.

Ekotab's camera is only at 0.3 MP on both Selfie and Rear Cam and they produce the same quality as well. Getting shots with good lighting is a little decent, but don't expect it to work that well on low light. It is also a little grainy and you can see the photo's pixels that easily when you zoom the photos due to the low pixel count.

Impressions
Even though we didn't have enough time to conduct a full review of this unit, we can definitely say that it performs well for the price! The display quality have low pixel density at 160ppi only based on CPUZ which makes some videos and image doesn't look that sharp. Fortunately, the overall experience and functionality is really smooth and you can open multiple tabs without that much lag. Thanks to it's large ram for the price at 1GB! Plus it have that 5 point multi touch which could be good for gaming.
Unfortunately we didn't have enough time to further test it for gaming, browsing and run some other benchmarks. Nonetheless, we would like to thank Ekotek for giving us a chance to review this unit!
