One of the most iconic hero of DC comics, the caped crusader Batman, celebrates it's 75 years in comics. On July 23 we will be celebrating Batman day, and freebies will be given by participating comic book shops and retailers. Some of the freebies include a copy of detective comics issue 27, not the actual 1939 comic, but this issue is the retelling of the original story from the 1939 comic.
Batman was created by Bob Kane and Bill Finger and since then Batman had a very long history in comics. Here is a timeline which dates back from the first appearance of Batman until the present, including the films.

Since we are celebrating the 75 years of Batman let's have a little trivia. Not counting the Robins, there are other people who had been the cape crusader. Here are some of the people who wore the mask of the Batman.
Jean Paul Valley
He is known as Azreal and took the mantle of Batman when Bruce Wayne was broken by Bane. He also broke the a rule of being Batman, he killed a villain.
Thomas Wayne
During the events of Flashpoint, Bruce Wayne was the one who died instead of his parents. This event made Thomas Wayne put on the mantle of Batman. This version of Batman is more vicious than the original Batman, Bruce Wayne.
Kal - El
Imagine if the baby Kal - El became Bruce Wayne instead of Clark Kent. The result would be a super powered Batman.
Terry Mcginnis
The Batman of the future, one of the well known alternate Batmans. This is a future when Bruce Wayne already retired as the Batman but crime still flourished in Gotham. It was Terry Mcginnis, who took the mantle of the Batman.
