The past months have revealed the new smartphone battlefield where manufacturers are vying for the title of King of the Mid-Range. It started when the Meizu M1 Note drew first blood at the price of Php 7990.00. Alcatel Flash Plus followed with the price of Php 6499.00 while the Firefly Mobile Intense 64 LTE Php 7990.00. What was surprising was Lenovo's decision to get into the Fray with their latest A7000! With the promise of 5.5 inch IPS, 267 PPI, Octa core beast with 2900 mAh and price of Php 7,390.00, you could be forgiven for not thinking which hole did they pull this monster out off?

The box |
Inside the box
Accessories included |
- 1 A Adapter
- 1 USB Cable
- 1 Earbuds with microphone
- 1 Screen Protector
- User Manual
- Warranty Documentation
The accessories included in the package are one (1) wall adapter, one (1) USB to Micro USB cable, one (1) Earbuds with microphone, user manual, warranty documentation and one (1) Screen Protector which we usually get from Lenovo. All of this is pretty standard, although I wish they offered a case or bumper instead of a screen protector because we wouldn't want that beautiful screen to crack if by any chance it falls with the corners first.

At the back |
Most phones in this category trade something off in order to keep prices down and usually it is the physical aspects that get the boot. This is not one of them. The phone is light yet solid in your hand. At first glance it looks a little big with that 5.5 Inch screen but surprisingly it fits in my girl sized hands. It has this matte finish at the back that stops it from slipping from your grasp.
The slim looking body
|
On top you will find the micro USB port, microphone jack, sensors and the front facing camera and on the right side are the volume rocker and the power button which are textured so they can easily be distinguished like when inside your pocket while at the bottom is one of the microphone holes. At the back are the main camera, the LED flash, the second microphone hole and the speaker holes.

Very high score! |
I have made this my main phone for the past few days and so far the power and battery life is decent and what I find a little off from the box is the screen is barely visible outside even at top brightness. It is running a good modified version of Lollipop which makes it zippy and with all of the latest features. It is so far one of the best phone for its PHP 7,390.00 price tag.
