What else could / should be included?
It would have been better if Xiaomi included a stock earphones with mic along with the smartphone (like what other brands do). Ehem*Xiaomi Pistons*Ehem :)

People often have the wrong impression about China phone with regards to its aesthetics and overall quality. However, that's not the case with Xiaomi. Redmi 1S. It is a solidly built product that can put most local branded phone (and even some of the international brands) to shame. The plastic and glass feels top notch and won't break except when forced. It is also not a hairline scratch magnet - the usual problem with the aluminum phones. Another notable aspect of Redmi 1s is it's not a hairline scratch magnet unlike the aluminum and some plastic phones.

Hold and Feel
At 4.7 inches, this device feels just right to hold even if it's a little heavy due to its solid design. The combination of glass and poly-carbonate plastic gives the phone a tight grip on your hands. In general, the smartphone curved back design is very comfortable and it's easy to hold.

I'm in love with this phone! I also believe that the aesthetics of this unit is near topnotch and can compete with most phones well above its price. However, for added protection we'd still recommend the users to get a case and a screen protector. Even though Xiaomi seems to lack some of the stock accessories present on local and international competitors, the phone's performance and build for the price really makes up for it. With the build quality alone, Xiaomi Redmi 1S is an absolute steal at PHP 5,599!
