Last Saturday, during the dinner hosted by MyPhone at Cabalen Market Market, our team and Sir Ron of http://www.ronnotthedj.blogspot.com/ immediately unboxed and bench-marked this surprise device. Right now, we were in awe of the cheapest octa-core in the market right now with its design, quality and performance at a very low price point of PHP 7,999 only. We are also pleased that its performance isn't too far behind its big brother which cost 5K more. :)
So without further delay here's MyPhone Infinity Lite!

Infinity Lite in the flesh! |
|
Inside the box! |
You'll get the usual packaging from a MyPhone device, this time they presented it more elegantly and you'd love to see from the lite version of their flagship device. You'll find the earphones, charger and the phone itself. Unfortunately, we were not able to find a hard case and a pin to open the sim card slots. (MyPhone executives advised us that they'll take not of that and include it soon)
Build
|
Sexy baby! |
The phone's build quality is very much like its older brother. You'll get a beautifully crafted device with sheer elegance. The body again is a combination of glass and aluminum very much like the xperia phones and iphones before. Overall it feels so elegant and solid and won't break anytime soon unless you do some serious destructive ways to do it. :)
Camera
Given its rear camera is only at 8MP it is not that detailed and powerful like the original version of infinity. However, it is no slouch as it performs at an above average range that provides really good colors and balance with its shots.
|
Selfie! |
What we love about this one is its 5MP front camera. To my assessment this one have the same quality of MyPhone Iceberg Slim! :)
Benchmarks
We've tested it through various bench-marking tools and the we are very pleased of its result!

10 point multi-touch baby! |

That score! |

Confirmed 8 cores are running! |
Note: Antutu to follow, but from what I remembered it scored 24K plus! :)
Performance
Octa-core plus kitkat, you cannot go wrong with that! From our very brief experience it was very smooth and fast. At this price we have almost no complain aside from the difficulty of putting our micro and nano sim card slot 1st. LOL :) The display quality isn't bad too, even though it doesn't sport a full hd 441 ppi. At this screen size the display looks really sharp at the retina like 320ppi. :)
|
Tap tap me! |
On the other note, I love most of its commands like the:
- Write “M” you’ll go to the “Music”.
- Write “S” for Messaging or SMS.
- Write “C” to make a Call
- Double Tap to Wake Up
Just like the same experience with LG G3, I really had a good time playing with the double tap of this phone, and I really find its commands super useful and really saves time and protects your hardware as you don't have to abuse your power button anymore! :)
As of the moment
Everything seems to be absolutely fantastic with Infinity Lite! Aside from its jaw breaking low price, it can clearly deliver most of the time. Even though we haven'y tried it yet to actual gaming. We are quite sure that this is going to be a very good portable gaming device because of its good benchmark scores. Honestly, at this price point this maybe the best local branded phone in its price range in terms of build, design and performance!
*Full review to follow as soon as we have had a chance to borrow this device!
